The Ultimate High-End Retention Mod for Smooth, Natural Volume Control
Are you tired of your guitar turning muddy the second you roll back the volume? Standard generic treble bleed circuits come with a major catch - they flatten out natural audio taper. Our Special Design Tone Man TrueAudio Bleed Filter Mod Series Style solves it all. Fixes interaction between volume and tone controls, eliminating high-end loss and "Ice-Pick highs plus keeps your volume roll-off smooth and musical from 10 to 0.
Most generic treble bleeds use a simple capacitor or a parallel resistor/capacitor network. While they keep the sparkle, they severely warp your volume pot's natural taper, flattening out your control sweep and making the volume drop off like a cliff. Worse yet, they actively fight against vintage '50s wiring configuratations, causing the tone to sound thin, tinnier or rendering the treble bleed completely redundant.
Our TrueAudio Bleed Filter Circuit fixes all of it. By replacing a premium resistor and high-grade capacitor in series rather than parallel, we have designed a circuit that limits excess high-end glassiness while keeping your volume sweep perfectly organic and predictable.
Key Benefits
- Preserves the Pot's Natural Taper: Unlike parallel mods that ruin the sweep and cause sudden drops between 7 and 10, the series design protects your volume potentiometer's natural audio taper. Your volume changes smoothly from 1 to 10 without unpredictable jumps.
- Engineered for "50s Wiring Compatibility: Standard treble bleeds are notortious for sounding thin or redundant when parired with '50s guitar wiring. Our tuned series configuration allows players who love '50s interacative tone controls to finally maintain note clarity and low-end warmth when rolling off the volume.
- Eliminates "Ice-Pick" Highs: Simple capacitor-only modifications allow too much treble to bleed through at lower volumes, making your guitar sound screechy. The series resistor functions as a gentle frequency gate, broadening the resonance peak to keep your tone full-bodied and organic.
- Retains Bass presence: When you clean up your overdriven amp or pedal by rolling back the volume, you won't lose your guitars fundamental punch. The series circuit leaves your bottom end intact so your rhythmum tone stays thick and powerful.
- Invisible at Full Volume: When your volume is dimed at 10, the circuit is completely bypassed, leaving your pickup's raw, uncolored tone 100% pure.
