Product Description
This prewired Premium Firebird wiring harness is built using premium components selected for reliability and tonal performance. The vintage 50s wiring helps maintain clarity when rolling down the volume while delivering smooth and responsive tone control.
What's Included
- Bourns Pro Audio 500K potentiometers, short split shaft, audio taper, 18-tooth coarse spline
- Centralab paper-in-oil tone capacitors: .033uF bridge, .015uF neck
- Switchcraft or Centralab 3-way right-angle toggle switch, prewired, black tip
- Switchcraft 1/4" jack
- Vintage-style Gavitt cloth 22 AWG push-back wire
- Fully prewired harness on an assembly board drilled to spec (the board is for building and shipping only; it isn't installed)
- Wiring diagram and installation instructions

Compatibility
- Gibson and Epiphone Firebirds with 4 controls in the component cavity and the switch under the pickguard
- Uses a right-angle 3-way toggle that lies angled in the cavity under the pickguard. If your switch is different, email us before ordering for options.
- Pot holes must be 3/8". Imported guitars (Epiphone, Japan, China) or guitars with mini pots may need the holes reamed to 3/8" for the Bourns bushings.
- Knobs require 18-tooth coarse spline (we sell new knobs)

Workbench Note
The Firebird hides its electronics differently from a Les Paul: the four pots sit in the control cavity, but the toggle switch lives under the pickguard on a long wire run. This Firebird wiring harness ships with the right-angle switch already prewired on a 20" lead, so it lies flat in that shallow space without extra soldering. If your Firebird is an import, check the pot hole size first, since Bourns pots need 3/8" holes.
