Bourns Pro Audio potentiometers are engineered specifically for electric guitar circuits. Featuring low rotational torque, ultra-smooth mechanical travel, and precise audio logarithmic tapers, Bourns pots eliminate dead spots and sudden volume drops.

Selecting Resistance & Shaft Specs

  • 250K Short Shaft: Best for single-coil pickups (Stratocaster, Telecaster) to preserve warm, natural highs. Fits 3/8" mounting holes.
  • 500K Short Shaft: Standard for humbucker and P-90 guitars (Epiphone Les Paul, all SG models, historic Gibson reissues, hollowbody).
  • 500K Long Shaft: Required for Gibson Les Paul models manufactured from 1977-present with thick carved maple tops.

Coarse-Spline Compatibility

All Bourns pots feature an 18-tooth coarse-spline shaft designed to fit standard push-on speed knobs, bell knobs, and top hats (or set-screw knobs using brass sleeve adapters).
