Vintage 50s Les Paul Control Layouts

Our Les Paul prewired harnesses are wired using authentic 1950s layout specs where the capacitor is tied to the center wiper of the volume pot. This prevents high-end treble bleed when rolling back the volume control, keeping your humbucker or P-90 tone crisp, articulate, and dynamic without needing extra treble bleed circuits.

Short Shaft vs. Long Shaft Fitment

Selecting the correct shaft length ensures seamless installation without modifying your guitar's body:

  • Long Shaft (3/4"): Fits Gibson Les Paul Standard, Traditional, Classic, Custom, and Studio models made in 1977 and later.
  • Short Shaft (3/8"): Fits historic reissues, Gibson Les Pauls made before 1977, Les Paul Juniors, Specials, and ALL Epiphone Les Paul models.
