Why a Dedicated Bridge Tone Pot?

Standard factory single-coil Strat wiring gives you one volume and two tone controls — one for the neck pickup, one shared between the middle and neck. That leaves the bridge pickup wide open, with no way to roll off its high end. It's a big part of why a bright bridge single-coil can sound harsh or thin next to the neck and middle positions.

This harness rewires that second tone pot straight to the bridge pickup instead: T1 controls the neck pickup, T2 controls the bridge pickup, and the middle pickup runs with no tone control — the same configuration Eric Johnson uses to dial in warmth and control from his bridge pickup on demand. It's wired with a vintage-correct .1uF Paper-in-Oil tone cap for a smooth, gradual roll-off.
