Remove the two screws holding the control cavity cover, and you'll find the pots wired together in one open cavity, with a separate channel bored through the pickup routes leading up to the 3-way switch cavity on the upper horn — that's the path your new harness's wires will follow. Lay a folded towel over the top of the guitar before you start working, since both the old harness and the new one have to pass in and out of that cavity, and a slipped screwdriver or a swinging assembly board is an easy way to mark the finish. Use a socket or nut driver on the pot nuts and on the switch's knurled retaining nut instead of pliers — pliers slip easily on those and can gouge the nut or scratch the top around the switch. Before you disconnect anything, note where the ground wire from the bridge and tailpiece studs currently lands (it's usually soldered to the back of the neck volume pot's casing) so you can land it in the same place on the new harness, and it's worth measuring your current pickup height and bridge height first so you can put your setup back exactly where it was once the harness is in.
